The facilities at this campground are always spotless, and extremely clean. Although the camp sites are close together it is very family oriented and child friendly. The location is also very convenient, it is only a skip hope and a jump from the pier and then the beach.
Very nice campground! Good location...walking distance to downtown/beach. Restrooms and all facilities are clean and well maintained. Highly recommended!
I stayed here in aug 2017. It was quiet, clean, but in some spots a little to close. I enjoyed the campground, and the staff was great. Adding A nice dog park would be great
We made last minute plans and could not get a decent site at Bayleys so we tried here. Good thing we did because we found a better place. This was much more pleasant. Bathrooms are spotless, sites are spacious and the staff were very friendly at all times. Very quiet at night. Golf carts are not allowed which made it nicer. One of the best campgrounds on the East Coast!!
I'm giving this place 5 stars because it is a very clean campground with nice bathrooms/showers and a great laundry room, however, I do want to note (never having been to old orchard), this isn't your outdoorsy let's-be-one-with-nature kind of campground. It's a more social, congregate-with-friends campground. That being said, it was a clean, friendly, and conveniently located campground just a half-hour away from Portland and only 45 minutes away to more remote areas and sights of Maine. If you're looking for a quiet beach spot, Old Orchard is not the location. However, if you have a car and are able to drive somewhere, you'll have no problem!
